Future of Urban Mobilty
Introduction
Part of a global team competition to create a reconfigurable ride share vehicle for 2019. Of the five total North American schools on our global team (University of Cincinnati, McMaster University, University of Toronto, and ITESEM-CEM) my institute's team was the industrial design lead and handled the the exterior body shell, interior dashboard, and infotainment screens of the vehicle. The main feature of this vehicle is that it can expand from a two seater to a four seater to assist with urban commuting. We also handled the market research to find what were the issues of urban commuting and the look and features of cars users would want.
Creating a new form of urban transportation
We had to start first with looking at our potential users' needs and wants through interviews and surveys.
